Non-Bermudians enjoying visa-waiver entry to America have just weeks left before new rules stipulating modern machine-readable passports must be used.
After October 26 people without the passports, which feature a long set of numbers, will have to fork out for a visa which can cost $100 or more.
People with Bermuda status holding a passport with a Bermuda stamp don?t need to have such a visa.
Visa waiver countries are: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK.
