Most residents back the idea of moving Hamilton Docks according to a recent independent poll.And most back Morgan's Point, the polluted former US naval base in Southampton, as the place to move them.Six out of ten strongly backed or agreed in principle with the idea of moving the docks while only 24 percent were against, according to the poll by Total Marketing of 401 Bermuda residents conducted last month.

Six out of ten strongly backed or agreed in principle with the idea of moving the docks while only 24 percent were against, according to the poll by Total Marketing of 401 Bermuda residents conducted last month.
Of possible new locations, Morgan's Point gets the backing of 28 percent while Dockyard gets the backing of 12 percent. Ducking Stool/Pembroke's North Shore is favoured by eight percent closely followed by Ferry Reach, St. George's and Marginal Wharf, St. David's.
