A St. George?s man was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run accident left him with a broken leg and abrasions.

The 28-year-old man told officers he was riding along the Causeway in St. George?s when he was struck from behind by a white Volkswagen car causing him to lose control of the motorbike. The car drove off.

The man sustained a broken right leg and abrasions to his hands and left arm.

Police are currently investigating Tuesday night?s incident. Witnesses should contact P.c. Cassius Fevriere on 297-1122.
