A woman yesterday dropped charges in Magistrates? Court against a Warwick man she claimed had assaulted her, saying they had ?worked through their differences?.

Ambika Scott said that although she had reported to Police that on August 13, 2003, that Tristan Smith, 39, of South Breeze Road had assaulted her, she now wanted to drop the charges.

Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves asked Miss Scott if anyone had forced her to drop the charges.

She said that no one made her do it.

However, Smith denied assaulting another woman on the same day in Pembroke.

His trial for the assault against Carmen Sousa was set for April 20, in Magistrates? Court.
