Woman's car impounded
A woman's car was damaged and has since been impounded as a result of "an ongoing domestic dispute" now under police investigation.
According to police, the incident took place at around 8 a.m. yesterday.
"It appears that the victim, a 20-year-old Hamilton parish woman, was travelling west on North Shore Road in her car when she was flagged down by the suspect, a 19-year-old Pembroke man in the Shelly Bay area," a police spokesperson stated.
"The Pembroke man was riding a motorcycle in the opposite direction at the time. The victim stopped her car and the suspect approached the vehicle. He then proceeded to damage the woman's car with a blunt object."
The spokesperson said the woman managed to drive off but was stalled by traffic near the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo. "The man then rode up to her car and further damaged it. The suspect was subsequently arrested at the scene by a passing police officer, who noticed the commotion. The woman was not injured. Police impounded the car involved. This incident is apparently the result of an ongoing domestic dispute."
