XL Capital Ltd. paid tribute to a legend yesterday with the unveiling of local sculptor Desmond Fountain's statue of Mark Twain.

During the unveiling at XL House yesterday, XL president and CEO Brian O'Hara (above right) said: "Mark Twain always had a very strong affiliation with Bermuda as one of several noted authors who spent time on the Island.

The life-size work of art is located at the main entrance to XL's headquarters on Bermudiana Road, the former site of the Bermudiana Hotel, where Twain's best friend, US president Woodrow Wilson once stayed.
