A thief made away with cash and jewellery on Thursday after gaining entry to a Devonshire residence.

Police responded to a Border Lane North report on Thursday at 2 p.m.

The complainant said that $200, a gold chain, a heart-shaped pendant and a silver chain with a 'S' pendant were taken in the burglary.

Inquiries into the incident are underway.
