Burglars steal plasma TV
Burglars stole a 52-inch plasma television from a house in Devonshire on Sunday.
The offenders broke into a property in Garthhowen Road between 1 and 5.30 p.m. and removed the Panasonic television from a wall. Five pen fishing rods and an orange V50 motorcycle were also stolen.
A witness reported seeing a Portuguese-looking man driving off with the television on his scooter.
A Police spokesman said: "Police spoke to a witness who saw a male believed to be of Portuguese descent carrying a supersized television on his silver/grey scooter, and another male described as being a black man of a dark complexion following behind, riding an orange coloured V50 Yamaha."
The main suspect is described as 5 ft, 9 in tall and of slim build. He wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt and white helmet.

There were ten burglaries at the weekend, 16 vehicles were stolen and Police reported 32 road accidents — ten of which resulted in injury.
