Busy weekend for Police

Police were busy over the weekend dealing with a series of offences ranging from impaired driving to accidents.

One person was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and there were 13 reported burglaries, according to the Police.

There were also 17 reported, damage-only road traffic accidents, four reported road traffic collisions where someone was injured and five reported vehicle thefts.

A Toshiba laptop computer was stolen from a Seabright Avenue, Paget residence.

The occupant told Police that someone broke into his apartment between 7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 p.m. on Sunday and stole the computer.

Police also attended another report of a burglary at a Harbour Road, Paget residence.

The complainants stated that some time between 11.30 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday, someone broke into their home and stole a brown leather handbag, a BlackBerry 'Pearl' cellular phone and other personal items.
