Chancery Lane office block approved
A seven-storey office block has been given the green light at the corner of Chancery Lane.
The Development Applications Board approved the office, restaurant and penthouse complex on the corner with Reid Street after developers Chancery Holdings revised their original application.
Under the City of Hamilton Plan 2001, the maximum storeys allowed at this location is five but the fifth floor must be set back by 15 feet.
The office block includes two underground levels and its upper fifth storey will now be set back by the recommended distance. Total site coverage is 3,370 square feet.
The DAB said it reserves the final approval of "all details, defined as reserved matters, relating to design and external appearance of the building, and landscaping of the site".
