Drivers injured in collision

A three vehicle accident caused two of the drivers injuries yesterday morning in Pembroke.Police attended a reported accident at 9.05 a.m. Monday morning on Pitts Bay Road involving a tractor trailer, a car and a motorcycle.Reports said the car was travelling west with the tractor trailer behind when the car stopped at the entrance of Old Slip Lane and indicated to turn left.

A three vehicle accident caused two of the drivers injuries yesterday morning in Pembroke.

Police attended a reported accident at 9.05 a.m. Monday morning on Pitts Bay Road involving a tractor trailer, a car and a motorcycle.

Reports said the car was travelling west with the tractor trailer behind when the car stopped at the entrance of Old Slip Lane and indicated to turn left.

The tractor trailer collided with the car pushing it forward into a wall then continued skidding and collided with the motorcycle.

The driver of the car, a 44-year old Southampton man sustained soreness to his back while the rider of the bike, a 26-year old Pembroke man suffered abrasions to his lower back.

The tractor trailer driver, a 45-year old Pembroke man was not injured. He received a ticket for driving without due care and attention.

The tractor trailer received moderate front damage while the car had front and rear damage. The bike received moderate front end damage.

Police are currently investigating the matter.
