Government announced in Friday's Throne Speech that the National Drug Control Master Plan will be implemented this year. The six key aims of the plan are to:

• Reduce over five years the prevalence and incidence of illicit drug use

• Reduce the incidence of drug-related health damage

• Increase the number of successfully-treated addicts

• Reduce the availability of illicit drugs

• Reduce the number of drug related crimes

• Reduce illicit trafficking and money laundering

Copies of the National Drug Control Master Plan are available from post offices, the Bermuda National Library, the Department for National Drug Control, Melbourne House, 11, Parliament Street, Hamilton and the Department of Communication and Information at Global House, 43 Church Street, Hamilton.
