End-to-End: Official start of registration
Yesterday marked the official start of registration and pledging for the 2007 End-to-End event. The St. George’s to Dockyard charity walk, cycle or swim will take place on May 5 and is marking its 20th year.
Some 2,000 people participated last year.
The Island-wide effort raises more than $200,000 every year in support of Bermuda’s charities. During a press conference at City Hall yesterday, board member Donald Bowman outlined how to get involved with the event.
“Our message to everyone who is not taking part, is to please pledge your support for the event,” he said. We’re urging everyone to find the best way for each of you to participate.”
Those interested in supporting the event can sponsor a participant or make a donation directly to Bermuda End-To-End. You can register or pledge at all Bank of Bermuda branches, M3 Wireless and many sporting goods stores Island wide, or by logging on to www.bermudaendtoend.bm. Companies can also support the event by encouraging their colleagues to participate and matching employee pledge funds.
