A thief ransacked a residence and made off with a flat screen Sony Vega TV set and a box full of jewellery that contained a set of Chinese palm medicine balls.

Police spoke with the victim, who stated that he had left home about 7.30 a.m. on Thursday after locking and securing his home.

He told officers, that upon his return at 5 p.m., he noticed that his home had been broken into and left in a messy state.

Police are inquiring.
