Between 11.55 p.m. and 2.00 a.m. from Sunday night to Monday morning the hospital switch board will be upgrading its telephone system. In order to do so, during that two hour period only emergency calls will be accepted.

The Bermuda Hospitals Board said: "This time has been selected as our least busy two-hour period and will have the least impact on the community. "However, BHB does ask the public to limit in-coming calls to emergency situations only during this short two-hour upgrade period."

The Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute will not be affected. BHB apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the public for their cooperation."
