Kiwanis club to hold prayer relay

A Prayer relay on various issues will be held tomorrow by the Kiwanis club of St. George's in observation of Kiwanis Week.

The Prayer Relay will see members of the K-Kids (a junior division of Kiwanis) deliver a specific scroll to each of the various churches who have agreed to participate. At the church, selected members will offer prayers based on the theme inscribed on the scroll.

At the conclusion, members from each of the participating churches will gather at the Ebenezer Methodist Church for fellowship.

The event will be held in the Town of St George's. About half-a-dozen Christian denominations have agreed to participate in the event.

Kiwanis Club of St George's President, Scarlett Pottinger, explained that while all the prayers are designed to be for the betterment of Bermuda as a whole, some of the specific topics include peace, our leadership, our youth, grieving children & adults, and unity & understanding.

The Kiwanis Club of St George's, a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time, along with the other two Kiwanis Clubs in Bermuda, is affiliated with the New England District of Kiwanis.
