Logos II extends visit to Island

Long visit: The floating book shop <I>Logos II </I>lies alongside Front Street. The UK-based charity book vessel has extended its visit to Bermuda until next Wednesday. UK-based charity book ship MV Logos II has announced it has extended its stay in Bermuda until next Wednesday afternnon instead of Sunday as originally planned.

Logos II is one of three ships operated by OM International and carries a crew of 60 volunteers, representing more than 20 nationalities, living and working onboard.

The ship, docked on Front Street, operates as a nonprofit Christian charity and sails the world spreading its message of help, hope and knowledge.

Yesterday a spokesperson for the ship announced the book shop will remain open until Wednesday March 5, closing at 9 p.m.

While berthed in Hamilton, the spokesperson added, visitors are welcome on board Logos II to check out its world-renowned book shop.

Entrance is free and welcome to all of Bermuda. The opening hours are: Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The crew has expressed gratitude for the "kind assistance" that has been provided by both the Corporation of Hamilton and the various Government Ministries.
