Lunchtime public meetings on drug policy
A new initiative to get the public talking about drug policies will begin on Thursday as the Department for National Drug Control (DNDC) announces lunch time public meetings.
DNDC, under the Ministry of Culture and Social Rehabilitation, plans to organise a series of community meetings to discuss National Drug Control Policies, Master Plan and Action Plan.
The first meeting will take place this Thursday, March 6 and the second on March 20 from 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anglican Cathedral.
It will feature a panel of experts from the Bermuda Police Service, H.M. Customs and representatives from the Department of National Drug Control.
A free lunch will be provided in addition to a discussion of principles for drug prevention, demand and supply reduction, and treatment and enforcement.
