Magique recovered

The stricken yacht Magique, which was severely damaged in rough weather last week, has been found.

The local boat Reel Addiction located the abandoned vessel 150 miles north west of Bermuda on Saturday. The Magique was at the centre of a high-seas rescue operation last Wednesday when the vessel lost its rudder in rough seas and heavy winds.

The US Coast Guard eventually rescued the ship's four crewmembers.

The Magique was critically damaged in the ordeal and huge holes can be seen on the ship's hull.

The first rescue attempt by the Norwegian tanker Berge Boston failed after it almost smashed the Magigue in storm force winds. It is understood that the yacht has been turned over to the Reciever of Wrecks.
