A 44-year-old man was recovering in Intensive Care last night being found unconscious on Darrell's Island.
Earlier yesterday, Police described the man's condition as critical but last night a King Edward VII Memorial Hospital spokeswoman said he was now stable.
A Police spokesman said: "Police responded to a report of a medical emergency that took place at Darrell's Island this morning at 8.20 a.m.
"It appears that a 44-year-old man was found in a non-responsive state. This resulted in him being taken via Police boat to Barr's Bay Park where he was taken via ambulance to KEMH."
Police were unable to give any more information as to the nature of the 'medical emergency' last night.
