Motorcyclist hurt in crash

On Wednesday, a 39-year-old cyclist suffered cuts and bruises to her left leg after the motorcycle she was riding collided with a car.

At 5 p.m. a car was leaving a driveway onto Middle Road near the junction with Montpelier Road, Devonshire. The female cyclist was driving west along Middle Road when the vehicles collided.

The driver of the car, a 76-year-old Devonshire woman, was not injured. Both vehicles received relatively minor damage.

Earlier on Wednesday, at 4:30 p.m., a 17-year-old Southampton woman driving an auxiliary cycle lost control on the Causeway in St. George's and fell to the ground.

The Southampton woman was not injured; however, the cycle received moderate damage.

Inquiries into both incidents are underway.

Also on Wednesday, a red vehicle that had been adapted for persons with disabilities was found at 5.45 p.m. across from the AME church on Harrington Sound Road, Smith's.

It has been taken from outside 'Summer Haven' during the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Police yesterday said they would like to thank the public for their assistance.
