Pig's Field park is to receive a makeover with a multi-purpose sports field and new playground equipment.
The park, in Bandroom Lane, Pembroke, will also get a resurfaced basketball court, new asphalt car park, six foot fencing and a walking trail.
Plans by the Ministry of the Environment have been approved by the Development Applications Board, as part of the Community Areas Programme. Before work starts however, the Ministry must also obtain a building permit.
The 95,775 sq ft park will feature play facilities for toddlers and older children, plus a "multi-purpose recreational building".
Agent Onionpatch Landscape Consulting is to carry out the improvements, which have received no objections.
