Police name senior who fell at rest home
The investigation into the sudden death of Vernon Martin at a St. George's senior's home continues. Police were called to the Sylvia Richardson Care Facility after Mr. Martin, 65, apparently fell from a balcony, a Police spokesman said.
He suffered serious spinal and head injuries and was rushed to the King Edward Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
The spokesman said an autopsy is expected in due course and offered his condolences to Mr. Martin's family on behalf of the Police Service.
Guesthouse burgled
Honeymooners had their Southampton guest room broken into on Monday evening.
The newlyweds were visiting Bermuda for the first time when an unknown person broke into their room and stole personal items. Police were called to the guesthouse property Tuesday morning.
Jewellery was stolen from a Pembroke home while the residents were at work on Tuesday.
Police were called to the Sunset Pass residence and told that an unknown person broke into the home and stole jewellery. Police are investigating both incidents.
