A new careers DVD encouraging students to enhance their awareness of technical careers in Bermuda was introduced to the public this week.

The National Training Board (NTB) released its second in a series of five DVDs, Careers in Bermuda II.

Six careers are featured on the DVD including air conditioning technician, cosmetologist, electrician, horticulturalist, motorcycle technician and power engineer.

NTB deputy chairman Francis Mussenden said: "This DVD is a must for students, teachers, guidance counsellors and parents. If students are considering a career in the technical trades in Bermuda, this DVD is the best place to start."

Mr. Mussenden also said he is excited about the DVD release and thanked the industry partners and the team at NTB.

Careers in Bermuda II was made possible by the NTB and six industry partners and features apprentices, trainees, employees and industry leaders in the various occupations.

Three thousand DVDs have been produced and will be distributed to Bermuda's high schools and will be available at the NTB offices at the corner of King Street and Reid Street.
