A drunken teenager who fell off his motorcycle and injured himself has been fined and banned from the roads.
Magistrates' Court heard how Harry Tucker, 19, lost control of his Yamaha bike on South Road in the early hours of Wednesday.
Crown Counsel Larissa Burgess said Police smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed his speech was slurred and his eyes were glazed.
Tucker, a student from Lagoon Road, Paget, told the officers: "I had a few drinks at Henry VIII."
He complained of being in pain and was sent to the hospital for treatment before being charged with driving while impaired. He pleaded guilty during his court appearance, which he attended with his left arm in plaster.
He told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo: "I'm sorry for my actions."
