TIMELINE
Wednesday, August 8: Bermudatourism.com lists a CeCe Winans Gospel Concert as one of its faith-based tourism events, scheduled for December 7-8.
Tuesday, August 14: The Royal Gazette carries out an investigation into why the CeCe Winans event has been removed from the website.
11.27 a.m.: CeCe Winan's booking co-ordinator Jada Gunn e-mails the Gazette to say CeCe Winans is not booked for Bermuda on December 7-8, stating: "I believe that there is a promoter that was trying to secure the dates and was unsuccessful due to CeCe's previous engagement."
11.33 a.m.: Mr. Curtis answers his cell phone and tells the Gazette reporter to ring back in five minutes.
11.38 a.m.: Mr. Curtis tells the reporter he's in a meeting and promises to return the call later in the day.
1.03 p.m.: When asked whether there was any chance of CeCe Winans coming to Bermuda at any point in the future, Ms Gunn responds: "Of course anything is possible. However, at this time I don't have anything on the calendar."
3.30 p.m.: Mr. Curtis telephones the Gazette to say CeCe Winans is scheduled to come to Bermuda on November 24-25 and that the information will be posted on Bermudatourism.com the following day. He claims the wrong date had been accidentally posted on the website the first time.
3.30 p.m. onwards: Ms Gunn fails to respond to any questions asking to confirm the event is now on and, if so, why at 1 p.m. she had said there was nothing on the calendar.
