Human remains found in Pembroke
Police are investigating the discovery of human remains just yards from a primary school.
They have already ruled out foul play but are not revealing any other information, including the sex, age or length of time the body lay in the bamboo patch.
A school worker, who did not want to be named, said she was busy preparing for the first week of school when she saw Police vehicles congregate across the road on Saturday afternoon.
Students will return to the school today after their summer break.
A Police spokesman said they received a call at 2 p.m. that human skeletal remains were discovered by a resident of the area.
The person remained at the scene till Police arrived.
Freshly cut bamboo appears to reveal that the body was discovered within a meter of the sidewalk.
An autopsy was performed on Saturday but Police say due to the "advanced state of decomposition" it will require forensics to identify the deceased.
They added that no further information would be released until the next of kin could be notified.
