Police are looking for witnesses after a St. George's couple was attacked and robbed during the early hours of Saturday morning.

At 2.50 a.m. on Convict Bay Lane in St. George's, the couple told officers that after socialising with friends at a few establishments on King's Square, they decided to walk home.

Once outside their residence, two attackers, described as light skinned and around six feet tall, appeared and punched and kicked the couple about their bodies before fleeing with a wallet, cash and personal items.

One suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and dark track pants, while the other had a close haircut and wore dark clothing.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit at 293-2222.
