A 55-year-old tourist died while swimming near Hawkins Island.

The woman was snorkeling yesterday morning when she experienced difficulties, a Police press officer said. She was rushed to the hospital but subsequently died.

Police said that the death was not being treated as suspicious and they will be releasing her name today once her next of kin have been informed.
