It is the second consecutive year that the Princess has been honoured by readers of the magazine.

A survey questionnaire was distributed to 200,000 readers and results were tabulated from the first 24,000 replies.

Each resort was judged on service, room quality, facilities, cuisine and location.

Located on a 100 acre estate, the hotel boasts it is Bermuda's premier luxury resort.

It has 600 guest rooms and suites and features an 18 hole golf course, tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a private beach club, a fitness centre and a variety of restaurants.

It has received a number of other awards including the AAA Four Diamond Award, the Gold Key Award and the Pinnacle Award.

Southampton Princess general manager Mr. Eric Brooks said: "The fact that we have received this honour for the second year in a row makes us particularly proud.''
