Wednesday morning.

Police reported yesterday that the couple was travelling east along Middle Road in Smith's near Jennings Road around 11.30 a.m. on an auxiliary cycle when they were overtaken by a man on a motorbike.

As the man passed them, he reached over and removed a handbag from their cycle's basket and escaped.

The bag contained some personal items but no cash or valuables.
