In the first incident a couple were riding a livery cycle along the South Road in Warwick around 11.30 p.m. when a dark skinned male on a cycle came up and grabbed a handbag and sweater from the rear basket.

The pillion passenger managed to hold onto the bag but the offender rode off with the black woollen sweater.

In a separate incident, a couple were on a livery cycle on South Road in Devonshire near Tee Street around 1.15 p.m..

At that time a black man on a cycle grabbed a back pack that had been secured in the cycle's basket by means of a bungee cord.

The culprit still managed to remove the bag and escape. Anyone who may have witnessed either incident is asked to call central CID at 295-0011.
