international travel this summer.

In a survey titled "Annual Summer Hot Spots'' conducted by the American Survey of Travel Agents, the world's largest and most influential travel trade association, 2.6 percent of people questioned said the Island was among the agency's top five international destinations that have been booked for summer travel.

The total number of nations evaluated was 25.

Number one was the United Kingdom with 83 percent, followed by France, Mexico, Germany and Italy. And the top city was London with 72.5 percent of support.

As far as Islands are concerned, Bermuda was beaten by Jamaica, Bahamas, Tahiti, Costa Rica, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tourism Minister the Hon. C.V. Jim Woolridge was reluctant to comment on the survey as he did not know how it was done.
