The authority's comments will relate to relaxation of restrictions on borrowing in foreign currency announced in the Budget on Monday.

Finance Minister the Hon. David Saul announced plans to relax foreign currency borrowing restrictions and to abolish the seven percent ceiling on interest rates.

An Authority spokesman said it was premature to issue any statement about interest rate controls until legislation approving the freeing of rates is approved by the House of Assembly.
