The Department of Tourism has announced that US Airways is extending GoGo Worldwide Vacations' contracted low season airfare for travel through May 31.

Meanwhile American Airlines offered preferred wholesalers, including GoGo, a 35 percent discount on airfares booked by yesterday with travel to be completed by April 9.

The US Airways deal will give travellers considerable savings on their airfares and its extension over a major holiday weekend, Memorial Day, should provide a major boost for travellers to choose Bermuda.

American Airlines' discount applies to travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and can be combined with land packages and weekend fares.

In other tourism news, two Bermudian hotels cracked a tourism publication's list of the top ten hotels, based on value, in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda region.

Lantana Colony Club took seventh place and Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort finished up tenth with average scores of 63.2 and 61 points respectively.
