Boy critically ill after bike crash

The nine-year-old was last night in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, after falling off his pedal cycle while riding behind his father on Wednesday evening.

The nine-year-old was last night in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, after falling off his pedal cycle while riding behind his father on Wednesday evening.
Police are seeking witnesses to the accident and in particular anyone who knows where the boy's cycle is.
A Police spokesman said the boy, who has not been named, fell off his cycle after apparently hitting a bump in the road on Khyber Heights Road, Warwick close to King's Point Lane at 10.15 p.m. on Wednesday.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance. A spokesman last night said he was in critical condition.
