On Friday night, the two female occupants of a Paget Lane, Paget apartment reported the theft of local and US cash. The women said someone entered the home and made off with the money between 9.30 and 11 p.m.

A 31-year old Devonshire man was arrested early on Saturday morning in connection with an apparent attempted break-in at the Bermuda Industrial Union Gas Station.

Police said a cement block was found in front of a glass door at the Gas Station -- apparently left behind by a would-be thief. A bystander made himself known to officers and described the attempted break-in. An arrest was made shortly after on Princess Street.

Two guests at Grotto Bay Hotel in Hamilton Parish had their room broken in to on Thursday night, the culprit making off with a wallet and room key.
