club, was Wednesday found guilty of offensive behaviour but acquitted on charges of making threatening gestures to two female employees.

Junius Carmen Caines -- who is already serving time for an unrelated offence -- was sentenced to 28 days in jail at the conclusion of his Magistrates' Court trial; Magistrate Edward King ruled Caines would serve the time concurrently.

Two witnesses earlier this week testified they arrived to open the Athletic Club at 5.45 a.m. last October 17, but discovered Caines slumped in the doorway, his clothing splattered with dried vomit.

After prodding him to move along Caines continued to "troop'' in and out of the club, pestering staff and customers, until Police were finally called to clear him off.

Through out the incident employees testified, Caines made shooting motions with his hands and offered them one-fingered salutes.

Caines is the brother of James Caines, who was murdered last July at a home on Curving Avenue.
