United Bermuda Party Sen. E.T. (Bob) Richards to extend economic opportunities so all Bermudians can have an equal opportunity in the economy.

Chairman Ken Spurling said CURE agreed with Sen. Robert's analysis that more must be done to bridge Bermuda's racial and economic divide.

"CURE further accepts that the present economic imbalance and series of structural impediments in the workplace and the marketplace poses the single largest threat to the long-term health of the Bermudian economy and to our culture and society as a whole,'' said Mr. Spurling.

Sen. Richards, in a Tuesday address to Hamilton Rotary club, warned of "dire economic consequences'' if structural impediments in the economy continued to stymie the aspirations of certain segments of the community.
