Amateur Dinghy Club in Paget.
The development applications board has approved a 64-berth dock but according to Benjamin (Buddy) Rego, chairman of the RHADC committee charged with obtaining the permission, the club members now have to agree.
"We now have to have the plans ratified by the club membership.'' he said.
"I expect it will go through as demand for marina developments is high.'' A key feature of the new dock will be a sewage out pump facility.
"This will be very useful during special events like the Marion Race,'' he said.
While an estimate of the cost of the project has not been done, Mr. Rego said the club has been checking with overseas suppliers on materials to use to construct the floating dock.
