M1: Lendrea F1: 7. I don't have a copy of my statement with me but on page 7 M1: Uh huh F1: That's not my signature! M1: Which page? 7. What are we talking about F1: My statement M1: That's not your signature F1: No it's not M1: Let me see, let me see F1: No it's not (rustling of pages) M1: Lendrea F1: It's not Rudy, Look at it.
M1: What! Lendrea I don't I don't believe what I am hearing.
F1: Well you look at it. I'm telling you to look at it.
M1: Okay, okay, is there anything on page 7 that you are not happy with? huh? F1: It is very noticeable that is not my signature M1: Lendrea, who else would sign your statement except you? F1: Rudy, if you look at it you will see it M2: I'm hoping that I've got another copy it will show ...??? Lendrea I'm telling you, Lendrea F1: You look at it.
M1: Lendrea, look here F1: Right, that's my statement there, look at page 7 M1: So you say that's your ...??? right F1: Look at page 7 M1: Okay (rustling of paper) But, you say that's your's right F1: Go back one (turning of pages) that's not mine M1: That's not your signature? F1: That's not mine and that there on ...??? that's not mine M1: Is there anything on here that you are not happy with F1: All I know that's not my signature M1: That's not your signature F1: That's not my signature F1: I looked over the statement (chair dragged across floor) and that's not my signature. Rudy, look that's not my signature.
M1: How about doing the notes over? F1: I, I mean M1: You don't want to do the notes over F1: No! I don't want to do the notes over. That's not my signature. I don't know what's going on but that's not my signature and yeah I don't want to do the notes over. I don't. I'm sorry. I've been thinking about it and thinking about it and M1: So F1: It's making me sick M1: All right Lendrea, I'm not going to ask you no more all right. I mean I asked you enough Lendrea. I mean (chair being dragged across floor). I guess we all will suffer whatever whatever consequences arises. We'll see.
F1: All right M1: I guess F1: If I get fired well so be it.
M2: Fine, Lendrea F1: That's not my signature M2: I didn't, I didn't put your signature there F1: Somebody did, somebody did and they did not spell my name right. They don't know how to spell my name right.
M1: I know it wasn't me Lendrea F1: But you witnessed it M1: / F1: (Talking at the same time -- dialogue unclear) F1: And that person didn't spell my name right M1: Who witnessed ...??? all ...??? you ahm... that's your signature there F1: Yes. I mean look at it. That's not my name M1: Lendrea, okay well I mean I can't force you I can't. I can't force you, I can only ask you, you hear me F1: Uh huh M1: Do you realise ...??? all the s*** that will come out of this F1: I realise it M1: And you're prepared to deal with this F1: I'm prepared to deal with it. I am. I'll deal with whatever comes my way M1: All right, then I mean F1: I'm sorry, but M1: That's all right mon just think about um...?? what all this means I can't force you I can only ask you and I beg you to F1: Yup! M1: Ahm, there is going to be a lot of s*** flying flying as a result of this F1: Like what? M1: Huh? F1: Shit like what M1: The statements are different from the notes, okay. Okay let me ask you a question Lendrea. What are you going to say when when they ask you why the statements are different from the notes? Are you prepared to give evidence? F1: If I have to... and I can only say the truth about what happened.
M1: Huh? F1: And that's that M1: So what is the truth and exactly what happened F1: If they asked me are those the notes that I took at the scene. I'm going to tell them yes. If they ask me why the statements different, I'll deal with that when the time comes, but I'm sorry I've been through too much to jeopardise or to risk being held in contempt or perjury.
M1: So what! what, what, what, what is is going to be your reason F1: I'll deal with it M1: Oh! come on F1: I don't know. I'll deal with it. If I don't have a reason I don't know and that's it. I don't know, what are you lot going to tell them.
M1: Everybody's in it F1: Uh huh! So what are you going to say? M1: Huh! I don't know because as far as I'm concerned Lendrea this wasn't supposed to come to this. You understand what I mean because nobody ever though about what they have to say, okay, because initially you had agreed to re-do the notes.
F1: I'm not rewriting nothing and I'll deal with it. Whatever happens, I'll deal with it. I'll be strong and I will deal with it and my conscience is clear and that's it. So you made a valid point to me.
M1: About what? F1: About if I decided to leave the force or do anything further the last thing I need is for anybody to know that I lied or perjured myself and to them I will be classified not as a drugs dealer but as a liar.
M1: What, what, what, what, what, ...??? F1: Rudy, even if the notes are changed if that man asks me if this is my statement and if I can identify it. I'm not going to say this is my statement.
Look at the signatures. If this man picks up on the fact that they are different signatures than mine on that statement how am I going to explain that? M1: How many fake signatures are on the statement? F1: Look at that statement M1: How many it is caused I haven't looked at it F1: Well, page 7 is definite. It's a definite and how am I going to explain it that means that yeah the notes can be changed and you lot would be cleared but when it comes down to me ...??? then what? M1: It's not a matter of we lot, you know Lendrea F1: It's a matter of who? me M1: It's everybody, it's everybody Lendrea, Lendrea, Lendrea have a seat right there F1: No! I sit down I'm going to get emotional. I have already been emotional and I am crying. I'm not crying no more. I'm fed up, I'm fed up ...??? Okay and if anyone find out about things have been tampered with or changed than what happens then. I'll be dismissed.
M1: Lendrea, you not the only one F1: But ... I'll be dismissed M1: You not the only one Lendrea F1: I can't afford to get dismissed over something like that M1: Lendrea, Lendrea you're not the only one you know. Do you realise that? Everybody is in the s***hole for this.
F1: And how many people is there? M1: Everybody. You want me to tell you one thing F1: What? M1: I think you and I are going to be way out there from everybody else F1: Yeah! M1: Yeah! You know why F1: Why? M1: I was in charge of the case F1: I was the notes officer M1: And you were the notes officer and you said you took contemporaneous notes Transcript M1: Huh? F1: Those are the notes right there...
M1: ...??? You know what that means. How are we going to explain the statements are different from the notes. I'm serious. I would like to know before before we give evidence what are you going to say.
F1: I don't know. Honestly, I don't know M1: You don't know what you are going to say F1: I know that I can't lie. I know that if I lie then...
M1: Sure, but what are you going to say about that we all changed F1: No! I'm not going to say nothing as far as what everybody does their own business, but but M1: What do you mean, we lot F1: No! All I'm saying is that I'm not changing the notes. If they ask me if they are my true notes. Yes, they are.
M1: Okay F1: If they ask me about my statement? I don't know what I'm gonna say. I don't know. If they ask me why the statement is different to the notes, then I don't know. I don't know and if they say that everybody lied, whatever. I'll deal with it. I'll deal with it. I'll deal with all the heat that comes down on me.
M1: This is serious honestly, Lendrea. It is, it is very serious. Honestly I'm not sure you realise the seriousness of it.
F1: I do, I do M1: It is very serious.
F1: I realise the seriousness of it. Yes I do know the seriousness of it and the word gets out, I mean it's okay to change the notes and you lot are cleared. What about me. My statement and signatures are different. This man is gonna bring in some big time lawyer or something.
M1: You don't bother about who they bring in F1: They will find anything and any reason to say why this change you know.
M1: Lendrea, Lendrea all you have to do is look at your statement and learn your statement and you don't have a problem *** M1: How are we, how are we going to explain this F1: I don't know Rudy. All I know is that I have an explanation and I do know that I have a lot at stake and I mean *** F1: My credibility, my credibility has already been shot M1: Okay, Everybody's, everybody's has got the same credibility all right. You follow me. Everybody. If this happens to us, Lendrea everybody's f***ing credibility is gone down the drain all right. Everybody's statement is different from the same notes. All our statements are the same. Yeah.
