The application calls for the road to go to the hotel via the Fritholme Gardens neighbourhood in Paget.

Managing director Mr. John Jefferis said the service road would "provide a less congested approach to the hotel through the main entrance and it would enable the service, delivery trucks and the staff to use a separate entrance which will be located east of the main entrance''.

Mr. Jefferis added that guests and taxi's will be able to utilise the main entrance.

The Bermuda Electric Light Company also applied to the Development Applications Board to build an electricity sub-station, a new sidewalk and landscaping.

The location for the development is Woodex car par on Woodbourne Avenue in Pembroke.

Hibiscus Trust also applied for planning permission for a change of use from residential to doctor's offices on Point Finger Road in Paget.
