Andrew Arrorash, who is serving six months at Casemates for an unrelated offence, pleaded guilty to all three charges.

Arrorash, the court heard, was found sleeping in a house under renovation at Parsons Lane, Devonshire on August 23.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said unknown to houseowner Ms Betty Ann Jiminez, Arrorash had taken up lodging there from August 20.

The former St. Brendan's patient was found sleeping on a mattress with .25 grams of cannabis next to him.

Arrorash also consumed four cans of cherries, valued at $3 each, during his stay.

He told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis he found the cannabis while he was out walking and decided to smoke it.

"I was so high I fell asleep,'' Arrorash said. "The next thing I know the cops found me and took me out.'' Mr. Francis heard that Arrorash has similar convictions.

He fined Arrorash $100 for wandering abroad, $50 for theft, and $200 for possessing cannabis.
