Police are advising motorists that the Bank Of Butterfield International Race Weekend, which kicks off tonight with the Front Street Mile, will cause some inconvenience to traffic with several major roads being closed off during the three planned races.

Police have warned that sections of Front Street will be closed to traffic this evening to allow athletes to compete in the Front Steet Mile Race.

Parking restrictions will be imposed on: Front Street between Queen Street and Court Street between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Front Street between Court Street and the foot of Spurling Hill between 6 p.m.

and 10 p.m.

Crow Lane will also be closed from the junction of Spurling Hill and the City of Hamilton's eastern boundary on Front Street. All westbound traffic will be diverted off Crow Lane up Spurling Hill and along Reid Street.

Tomorrow's International 10K race and charity walk means that the following roads will be closed: Parson's Road between Roberts Avenue and Montpelier Road roundabout between 9.30 a.m. and 10.15 a.m.

Montpelier Road between Frog Lane and Middle Road between 9.30 a.m and 10.15 a.m.

Frog Lane between Palmetto Road and Parson's Road between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

Old Military Road between Cedar Park Road and Frog Lane between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

Sector B Middle Road /Corkscrew Hill to Middle Road /Verdmont Roads closed in both directions until 10.15 a.m.

North Shore Road between Flatts Village and Barkers Hill roundabout will be closed to westbound traffic from 10.15 a.m. Gymnasium Road between Frog Lane and Headquarters Hill will be closed between 10.15 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. There will also be parking restrictions tomorrow on the following routes between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.: Parson's Road between Roberts Avenue and Montpelier Road -- including grass verges.

Frog Lane between Palmetto Road and Parson's Road. Montpelier Road between Parson's and Middle Roads.

Gymnasium Road between Frog Lane and Fort Hill.

Flatts Village between North Shore Road and Middle Road junction.

Fort Hill between Alexandra Road Road and Gymnasium Road. And on Sunday the following roads will be closed to traffic while the international and half marathons take place.

Pitts Bay Road /Front Street /Crow Lane from Woodbourne Avenue to Spurling Hill between 6.15 a.m. and 7.15 a.m.

Crow Lane between Spurling Hill and the north roundabout between 6.55 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.

All of Trimingham Road between 6.55 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. Corkscrew Hill from Middle Road to Crow Lane between 6.55 a.m. and 7.30 a.m.

Front Street from Point Pleasant Road (east) to Queen Street between 8.15 a.m.

and 1 p.m.

Front Street from Parliament Street to Court Street between 8.15 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Front Street from Queen Street to Parliament Street between 8.15 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. (Traffic will be allowed to travel westbound from 2 p.m.) Pitts Bay Road/Front Street/Crow Lane from Serpentine Road to Spurling Hill between 8.45 a.m. and 9.15 a.m.

Crow Lane between Spurling Hill and north roundabout between 8.55 a.m. and 9.15 a.m.

Corkscrew Hill between Middle Road and Crow Lane between 8.55 a.m. and 9.15 a.m. Trimingham Road from north roundabout to south roundabout between 9 a.m.
