A Fire Service spokesman said it was believed an aerosol can was inadvertently left in the small brushfire near the round-about on St. David's Road.

Ten firefighters on three trucks went to the scene about 9.50 p.m. to douse the fire. No-one was injured.

Manufacturers warn strongly against exposing the cans -- in which air is stored at high pressure -- from high heat like a fire.
