Sources yesterday confirmed that Mr. Cann is likely to appear in Magistrates' Court this morning. The development comes in the midst of an inquest into the May, 1991 death of Cannice Joann White.

The inquest, before a Coroner's jury, began in October but was adjourned to allow Mr. Cann to secure legal assistance. It was scheduled to resume on Tuesday.

The jury heard that Mr. Cann brought his daughter into King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on May 30, 1991.

She was without a pulse. Her heart was resuscitated but she was later pronounced "brain dead''. Four days later, she died.
