complaints from tourists about thefts from parked scooters.

Police received reports that two bikes had been broken into, one at Horseshoe Bay and the other from Warwick Long Bay.

Officers visited the tourist beach spots on Saturday afternoon and observed five teenagers acting suspiciously near to the washrooms at Horseshoe Bay.

After questioning by Police, the youths were also found to be carrying various suspicious pieces of equipment, along with several denominations of foreign currency and personal items belonging to visitors.

The five were arrested and taken to Somerset Police Station, where they were helping with inquiries.
