Flooding delays surgery

The incident happened shortly before 7 a.m. in an operating rooms on the second floor.A Fire Service spokesman said three vehicles and 13 firefighters from the Hamilton and Clearwater, St. George's stations responded to a report of the flooding.

A Fire Service spokesman said three vehicles and 13 firefighters from the Hamilton and Clearwater, St. George's stations responded to a report of the flooding.
When they arrived they found six rooms covered with half an inch of water.
The spokeswoman said the flooding was due to a faucet left running in one of the rooms.
Firefighters were able to pump the water out.
No major damage was believed to have been caused. But a hospital spokeswoman said there was a delay in starting surgery.
