Gang targets ship employee
outside Chick's Bar in St. George's on Wednesday night.
A 26-year-old cruise ship employee said he left the bar at about 2 a.m. and was approached by a group of some six unknown males.
They allegedly began talking to the complainant, then suddenly backed him up against a car and removed a gold bracelet from his wrist and an amount of cash from his pocket before he was able to escape.
Meanwhile, Western CID is investigating two break-ins and the theft of a cedar sign. A safe was stolen from an Evans Bay Road, Southampton home after the culprit apparently entered the building through an insecure door.
And a water pump was taken from the Future Gym on Middle Road, Southampton.
The theft was discovered at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Elsewhere a cedar sign and its post were allegedly ripped from a concrete footing and stolen sometime on Wednesday from an Orchard Grove, Pembroke residence.
