With Telco's general manager Mr. E.L. Pacheco acting as guide, Lord Waddington viewed the high technology equipment of the company's Hamilton Exchange, and visited the Service Centre.

During his tour of Operator Services, Lord Waddington spoke with staff, asking questions about the services which were demonstrated for him.

The Governor's trip was rounded off by a walk through Telco's Administration Building on Victoria Street, where he examined some of the latest telephone products on the market.

Lord Waddington was also presented with a copy of a book tracing Telco's history.

"His Excellency showed extreme interest in our operations and appeared to have enjoyed his tour immensely,'' said Mr. Pacheco.
